The Oslo Architecture Triennale presents the program of the opening weekend and welcomes you to the sixth edition of OAT. The Chief Curators will present After Belonging and take questions.

EXHIBITIONS PRESS VIEWING for press only
Following the press conference, the Triennale's two main exhibitions On Residence and In Residence will be open exclusively for members of the press. Join us on this occasion to meet the curators, participants and see the exhibitions before the public opening. The two exhibitions are a fifteen-minute walk away from each other. Transport by coach will be provided:

LAUNCH OF THE TRIENNALE PUBLICATION
After Belonging: The Objects, Spaces and Territories of the Ways We Stay in Transit is the result of work and research leading up to Oslo Architecture Triennale 2016. Publisher Lars Müller, the Editors, the Triennale Chief Curators, and selected Contributors will present the book.

OFFICIAL OPENING AND OPENING PARTY
We welcome you to join the official public Opening of Oslo Architecture Triennale 2016: After Belonging. Opening speeches at 19:15. Open bar and DJ until midnight. The Exhibition closes at 21:00



FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 9

AFTER BELONGING CONFERENCE
Leading architects, thinkers, decision-makers and local experts from around the world will discuss the role architecture plays in questions related to migration, refugeeism and homelessness; new ways to be at home; environmental displacements; tourism as well as the technologies and economies of sharing. 17:00–18:30, Oslo City Hall

MAYOR’S WELCOME TO OSLO
The Municipality of Oslo invites 350 participants and guests to a ceremonial reception at Oslo City Hall. A guide will present the art and history of one of Oslo’s most spectacular buildings. A great opportunity to mingle with the Mayor of Oslo, the Triennale's participants, event organizers, curators and friends. Request invitation.

ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSION ON (NOT) BELONGING
Three reporter teams engaged in the In Residence exhibition will discuss and reflect on the topic of belonging and their work and research connected to three of the cities: Oslo Airport/ Norway, Risaralda/Colombia and Prato/Italia.

PRESENTATION OF THE EMBASSY
A stateless embassy for the Kurdish communities of the autonomous region of Rojava will be set up as a temporary installation in Oslo in November. The Embassy, designed by Studio Jonas Staal in collaboration with the Democratic Self-Administration of Rojava, will present the cultural and political ideals of this new autonomous region in northern-Syria.
