Professor of Social Anthropology
Thomas Hylland Eriksen has directed several research projects on minority/majority relations in Norway. Eriksen is a professor of social anthropology at the University of Oslo and author of many relevant books within his field. In particular, he is known for his research on identity politics, cultural dynamics in complex societies and globalization. Currently he is leading a research project on local reaction to global crisis. In the summer of 2016, he will publish Overheating: An Anthropology of Accelerated Change.
