OAT 20 years: Conversations about the city
This year it’s 20 years, and seven editions of the festivals, since the Oslo Architecture Triennale was established in 2000. We will celebrate the anniversary with a full week programme, from 12–18 October, with both digital and physical events – if the corona situation allows for it.
The anniversary is an opportunity for us, together with our audience, partners and supporters to reflect upon topics and discussions that have been on the agenda both for OAT and the city over the past 20 years. With OAT archive as a starting point, we will use the anniversary to inquire possible future developments for both the city and the triennale.
The anniversary programme unfolds through various sessions and formats, including live streamed conversations and debates, a documentary film series commissioned for the jubilee, new episodes of the podcast Arkitekturpodden, a series of essays written by the curators of the seven Triennale editions, an interview series bringing back fragments from OAT’s history, and a digital atlas mapping the diversity of city-makers in Oslo. In addition, the programme will also feature the second edition of The Children’s Architecture day.
Only some parts of the programme will be available in English.
