The Theatre

The Theatre reveals the constructed-ness of our world that invites participants to question reality and actively explore generating alternatives.

Theatres are institutions of imagining. Theatres offer theatre-goers the possibility to understand that our world is not fixed but always emerging; a process to be constantly invented and reinvented. Going to the theatre enables a suspension of disbelief that allows us to together explore alternative realities and possible futures.

The Theatre will invite participants to imagine alternative urban futures through a public programme of theatre performances and events. It emphasises that the physical environment is produced not only by the so-called experts, but also by the people that live in and use it. Cities exist not only in physical space, but also in the urban imaginary; the embodied and cognitive images we carry with us everywhere we go.
