Tethered Float with Aerocene
09:00 – 11:00
Informasjon på norsk kommer.
On the 29th September, Aerocene floats in Oslo as an artistic gesture of emission-free mobilities, degrowth imaginaries and the movement toward atmospheric justice. Employing the Aerocene Float Starter Kit, and collaborating closely with the weather, we will capture, intensify and levitate with the power of the Sun. All are welcome to join in this performative experiment.
The floating experiment on the 29th September is weather dependent. Please follow the Facebook event page to be informed on the status of the launch.
Aerocene is an interdisciplinary artistic community that seeks to devise new modes of sensitivity, reactivating a common imaginary towards an ethical collaboration with the atmosphere and the environment, in an era free from borders, free from fossil fuels. The decentralised community, initiated by artist Tomás Saraceno in 2015, works towards the evolution of aerosolar technology - which uses only the energy of the sun.
Aerocene Community member Sasha Engelmann is a London-based geographer, researcher and artist exploring and initiating collective encounters with weather, atmosphere and the elements. She is Lecturer in GeoHumanities in the department of Geography at Royal Holloway University.
